A campsite at your service: fresh bread, equipment rental, local produce
To give you the best welcome, it’s in our DNA
On our campsite, the reception plays multiple roles, from ordering your fresh bread, running the campsite shop, renting equipment, loan of sports equipment and a small souvenir stand. Do you need to connect to Wifi or dry your washing? We are here to help you!
But the campsite reception is also a gold mine! The best of the Beaujolais produce on your doorstep! Don’t believe us? Come on in and find out for yourselves the nuggets we have selected for you!
Local dried sausage by Vincent Coquard, terrines and patés by Pères Chavanne, farmhouse cheeses from Corgier-Cherpin, gingerbread from Rucher du bon Beaujolais, sacristains from the Biscuiterie beaujolaise, blackcurrant liqueur from the Maison Jacoulot… The shelves at reception are overflowing with delicacies with evocative names and mouthwatering flavours. Regional produce, natural and often exceptional.
Dip into a jar of ‘Vine peach jam from coteaux du Jarez’ prepared by Philippe Bruneton : you will understand the value of his title as ‘Master jam-maker of France’. Take a slurp of the ‘White beer ‘Rivière d’Ain’ brewed by Patrice Pobel : you can share the sensations of the judges who awarded this beer the prestigious title of ‘World’s best Pale Ale’
And what can we say about the wine ! St Amour ‘Ete intense’, Brouilly « Pisse vieille », Fleurie « Grille midi » : the labels speak for themselves, the vintage Beaujolais wines compete, the epicureans revel in it!
Fridays, at reception, delve into the world in the heart of the ‘the most sensual of vineyards’. Domaine des Terres dorées, Château Thivin, Clos de Lachassagne... Let yourself be guided by Philippe Brachy, our local agronomist ‘French wine specialist qualified in wine tasting’ Discover the extraordinary palate of flavours, from the delicate aromatic rosé to the rich complex reds. And then, tasting the nectar of the Chardonnay or the black Gamay, you will see and you will agree that at the campsite reception there are bottles worthy of being served at the best tables!
It’s normal, we hear you say, we have the label « Vignobles et découvertes », so we are committed to a network of excellence which makes a point of welcoming lovers of wine and vineyards. But what you don’t know perhaps, is that amongst us, our director is also a member of the ‘Ordre des compagnons du Beaujolais! In other words a woman who has a good nose, and a confirmed taste enabling her to promote the wonders of the region. This tireless ambassador has invented the famous oenolodges to highlight the wine and the ..Beaujolais Douglas pine!
